Enterprise Fast Fibre

What is Enterprise Fast Fibre?

Fast Fibre is a symmetric fibre-optic service that comes in three speeds of 250, 400 and 1000Mbps respectively, and can be provisioned with a 1:1 contention ratio or a low contention ratio service.

The fibre connection is exclusively yours, ensuring that high traffic periods won’t affect your productivity.

It’s perfectly suited for businesses and enterprises that require:

  • Collaboration platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams

  • IP Voice services and HD video conferencing
  • Real-time cloud applications and services
  • Uploading and downloading of substantial files
  • Cloud-based backup and storage solutions

The adaptable design of this service allows for customization to fit your business needs perfectly, enabling you to allocate the entire bandwidth to internet usage or distribute it across up to four services, including internet, data (P2P, VPN), voice (SIP Trunking, ISDN) or cloud services (VDC, AWS Connect).

Our customers have expressed great satisfaction with the speed of this offering, and we’re eager to demonstrate just how quick your business internet could be with a free Voice Connect speed test.

Enterprise Fast Fibre FAQs

No. There is no charge for requesting a Service Qualification to see if your site is able to connect to your site.

If it is established that there is a build cost that you have to contribute to, then you can exit the order process before it begins without any charge.

If there are no complications, your service can be connected and delivered within 30 business days of your order acceptance by Voice Connect.

Yes. The service you order will have the corresponding speed guaranteed.

Symmetric means that the download speed is the same as the upload speed. Therefore, if your download speed is 1000Mbps then your upload speed will be a 1000Mbps.

Symmetric speeds are very different from ‘asymmetric’ speeds. Asymmetric means that your download speeds are different from your upload speeds, such as lower class of products like Business NBN internet services, which typically have speeds of 100 Mbps download with 40 Mbps upload.

The most important aspect of symmetric services is that it can handle enterprise expectations.

Contention ratio is the measure of how many individuals are utilizing the same internet service that is running on the carrier infrastructure coming to your site. A lower contention ratio indicates a reduced number of users on the network, ensuring less congestion.

All our Enterprise Fast Fibre services have a contention ratio of 1:1 meaning you are the only customer using the fibre service coming from the carrier to you. Or in other words, the fibre connection is exclusively yours, ensuring that high traffic period slowdowns won’t affect your productivity.

This means really, really fast speeds all of the time – because there are no slowdown periods of shared infrastructure affecting your service.

No, you do not pay for data. All of Voice Connects data and fibre plans include free unlimited data. What’s more, there is no shaping or throttling of the service speed at any time.

Definitely. Your Enterprise Fast Fibre service comes with the option of having your router supplied and managed by us. A monthly fee will be applied to cover the hardware and the management of the router.

Most customers supply their own hardware and manage it accordingly.

Each Enterprise Fast Fibre requires a NTU (Network Termination Unit) installed on the customer’s premises – usually installed in the coms room rack.

If you have your router managed by us, we will also provide a router with the installation.

Please note that there needs to be power available to the location of where the NTU and router will be installed.

Voice Connect Enterprise Fast Fibre offerings include a 99.95% Uptime Guarantee from the carrier.

This assurance means the service will be operational for a specified percentage of time. Should we fail to achieve this standard in any given month, we will provide compensation.

It’s important to note, however, that this guarantee does not cover periods of scheduled network maintenance.

Yes, you can relocate an Enterprise Fast Fibre service if the new location is ‘on-net’.

There are charges involved and other issues to take into consideration.

Simply contact our support team and we can provide you with the specific info for each situation.
